Meet Demon Diva, Caroline Delaney!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wake Forest chapter.

This week, Her Campus chatted with senior Carolina Delaney to see what she, and the acapella group, the Demon Divas, have in store for Wake Forest this year!

Caroline is from Summit, New Jersey, and has been a member of the acapella group since her freshman year.  She is happy to say that she has been a Demon Diva just about as long as she has been a Demon Deacon.

As the Recording Chair, Caroline will be responsible for putting together a full album of the Demon Diva’s work this year. “We haven’t put out a whole album since my freshman year, so we are really looking forward to doing a full one this year,” Caroline said.

Caroline is not only working hard within her leadership position, but also enjoys moving the group forward with a lot of new songs to perform as a group!

Caroline says that spending time with other members has been her favorite aspect of being in Demon Divas.“We are pretty close, and it has allowed me to meet girls I would not have known otherwise,” said Caroline, “it’s cool to have a group of friends whose interests are similar in one particular area, because we’re diverse and different in a lot of other ways.”

The Demon Divas have numerous performances within the school year, but Caroline’s favorite is the final performance.“It is the one opportunity we have to present the body of work that we do, and it’s always nice to have your friends come out and appreciate the stuff you’ve been working on for a long time,” said Caroline.

Besides the Demon Divas, Caroline is currently the Kappa Beta Gamma philanthropy chair, and works in the Study Abroad Office to help students who are interested in studying abroad.

Be sure to keep an eye out for Caroline and the Demon Divas group throughout the year!
