How (and Why You Should) Start Studying for Your Finals Today

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wake Forest chapter.
  1. Make a list of all of your final exams and assignments. Include information such as the date, location of exam, time the paper is due, etc.
  2. If you have to write a paper and you know enough about the assignment to start (or even better complete) it, find some time to smash it out! It definitely won’t be the most fun thing to do but you will feel so much better during finals week and it will take loads of pressure off your back!
  3. If the final is an exam, start to gather materials (textbook notes, power points, lecture notes, etc.)
  4. For each exam make a list of what you need to do to be prepared for the exam.

Every day try to do one thing – even if it is a small task. For example, that could mean working on your study guide for 15 minutes or rereading part of the textbook daily. If you start now, you won’t have the horrible feeling of procrastination. I’d say that’s a win and a half!
