Don’t Forget These Travel Beauty Tips

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wake Forest chapter.

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I’m sure many of you collegiettes will be traveling home for the holidays. Traveling can mean some changes to your beauty team, but it’s nothing you can’t handle with these tips!

When traveling, moisturizing and staying hydrated is a top priority, especially if you are traveling by plane. The air in the cabin and elevation can dehydrate your skin and leave it feeling dry, so combat this by moisturizing frequently, even chapstick is important! My favorite product to travel with is the Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Cloths. Not only do they keep your face clean but they also help to moisturize it and are easier to travel with (especially with security) than a big container of moisturizer.

Depending on whether you are driving or flying, you may need to check TSA regulations for how much liquid you are allowed in your carry on which can apply to your beauty products. If you haven’t already, I suggest saving any and all free samples you get when purchasing any products, they are often the perfect size and you get a chance to try something new! You can always stop by your local Ulta or Sephora and see what kind of promotions they have going on or even if you can just sample some products. Thanksgiving and winter break are the perfect time to try out some new styles for when you return to school!
