Tired of eating at the PIT and Benson? We are too!

It’s not that the food at the Pit or at Benson is bad. It’s more that eating at the same place every day gets kinda boring, huh? We have the answer to your problems: 11 top restaurants to go in Winston-Salem.

11. The Porch Kitchen and Cantina:

840 Mill Works St, Winston Salem, NC 27101

In a cute and cozy ambience, you are able to eat a great Tex Mex meal with just a few dollars – normally no more than $20! It is open every day of the week, except Mondays, for lunch and dinner. And I’ve heard they have great drinks if you are of age.

10. Mama Zoe’s:

Pine Ridge Plaza, 2859 Reynolda Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106

In the mood for some Southern food? Mama Zoe’s is about at Southers as you can get in Winston! The decoration follows the food type. The atmosphere is good: It’s social, with a lot of families and people talking loudly, but not in an annoying way. The food comes fast, in big plates with small prices. They are open for dinner every day of the week.

9. Mizu Japanese Cuisine:

3374 Robinhood Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106

One of the only truly good places to find sushi in Winston. With reasonable to cheap prices, and always-crowded tables, they manage to bring your order quickly and offer a wide variety of options – including Chinese dishes. Oh! And we have our own Wake Forest roll, how cool is that?

8. Silo’s Bar & Bistro

114 Reynolda Village, Winston-Salem, NC, 27106

Located in Reynolda Village, their main specialty is sandwiches. Offering every kind of meat and bread and an amazing warm brie as starter within other options obviously. Price is ok and the ambient is great.

7. Village Tavern:

Reynolda Village Shops & Restaurants, 221 Reynolda Village, Winston-Salem, NC 27106

Also located in Reynolda Village, is The Village Tavern. Everything on their menu is great! Their salads and burgers are your best bet, but it’s always hard to make a final choice. The service is good, but their prices are a little bit higher – not expensive but not cheap either. You even have the option of sitting inside, or enjoying the North Carolina weather and sitting outside.

6. The Old 4th Street Filling Station:

871 W 4Th St, Winston Salem, NC, Winston-Salem, 27101

Great food, great options and great ambience. Wide variety of options, the price is a little high, but is for sure a “must go” place.  Open every day for lunch and dinner, you are able to get a meal with no more than $35.

5. Mozelle’s Fresh Southern Bistro:

878 W 4th St, Winston-Salem, NC 27101

Crossing the street from The Old 4th Street Filling Station stands my favorite place in this city. It is classy, chic, great quality, great service and an amazing menu. A recreation of the Southern food in a more modern and fancy way.

Tip: make a reservation, they are always filled for walk-ins.

4. Quanto Basta Italian Eatery & Wine Bar:

This is the hardest place to decide what to eat – I’m not joking! The last time it took me more than 20 minutes to decide. All their options are amazing, and the decorations are cozy, modern and fancy. And the prices are cheap. This traditional Italian restaurant is where people go to eat pasta and drink a glass of wine.

680 W 4th St
 Winston-Salem, NC 27101

3. Midtown Cafe & Dessertery:

Feeling like stuffing yourself with pancakes and eggs? This is the place! Midtown is a great option to get brunch with friends on the weekend.

Stratford Village, 151 Stratford Rd NW, Winston-Salem, NC 27104

2. Village Juice Co.

On a diet, but still want to eat something tasty? Or do you just want to be healthy? Village Juice Co. is a place with a lot of salad, toast and smoothie options.

205-O South Stratford Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103

1. Ryan’s

And finally, Ryan’s takes the prize for Winston-Salem’s finest restaurant for college kids! This is the kind of place you take your parents to dinner when they come to visit. It’s a fancy experience with exquisite taste. With a long wine menu and a choice of the best ingredients, waiters will be polite and classy. However, prepare to spend a little extra money. Ryan’s can get quite pricey.

719 Coliseum Dr NW, Winston-Salem, NC 27106
