Chic for Cheap: Red Carpet Ready

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wake Forest chapter.

We all wish we could “pull off” the risks taken on the red carpet. It doesn’t mean we want to be celebrities and live under constant scrutiny, but it would be fun to dress like them every once in a while – especially if we don’t have to empty our wallet doing so. (Even though celebs, once reaching a certain social stature, no longer have to pay for dresses, but are actually paid to wear certain brands… I’ll rant about that another time.)

This year, there seemed to be a spaghetti strap trend at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Also in the works were lave and patterns; intricate details have become king in 2017, so let’s build on that and be inspired for whenever we’ll next have an occasion to wear full length gowns. Here are some cheap finds along the same lines of the following two dresses worn at the SAGs.

Gina Rodriguez and Emma Stone, Actresses
