Beauty Blog: How to Make Your Eyebrow Game #Strong

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wake Forest chapter.

Curious about learning more on how to master the art of the perfect brow? This is your guide for sharp eyebrows.

At some point in our lives, we have all had that heart wrenching moment when we over tweezed our brows just a hair— pun intended. For those of you who don’t know, I am mildly obsessed with eyebrows. A makeup artist once told me that our eyebrows are like sisters, not twins. While that may be true, that’s not good enough for me. Since this revelation, I have been on the search to try and make those caterpillars above my eyes look like twins. I am a strong believer in the fact that there is nothing like a good brow and that when your eyebrows are “on fleek” you just know it’s going to be a good day.

When shaping one’s brows, always make sure to have a thin makeup brush ready to mark the points on your face where your brows should hit as shown in the diagram below. Once your eyebrow are outlined, based on where the hairs are within that outline, either tweeze ‘em or leave ‘em.

After tweezing, remember to trim! Simply brush hairs upward with a brow spool and place your left pointer finger on the hairs, helping them stay upright. Once this is done, you will notice some hairs are longer than other. Snip these longer hairs. Go slowly as you can always trim more but once you cut them, it takes a few weeks to grow back.

Once you have tweezed and trimmed your eyebrows, I recommend shading them with a brow pencil. It is a super easy way to polish off your look and make your newly styled brows POP.
