Beauty Blog: 3 Must-Have Products for the Holiday Season

The holiday season can be an exhausting marathon of makeup wearing. From extended family dinners to endless shopping sprees, you need a makeup routine that lasts. Here are my top three products that will stay in place throughout the day, from a family brunch to an evening party:

1. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

I am a huge fan of Urban Decay and their primer is one of my absolute favorites. Dabbing just a touch of the cream onto your eyelids prior to applying your eyeshadow will not only make your eyeshadow go on more smoothly and vibrantly, but it will keep it in place for hours.

2. Benefit POREfessional Face Primer

The name of the game for long-wearing makeup is definitely primer, and this doesn’t have to only apply to your eyes! To keep a smooth foundation wear throughout the day, I love Benefit’s light POREfessional Face Primer. Just apply a light coat of it underneath your foundation and it functions as a modest concealer, allowing the foundation to go on smoother and keeping your foundation even and intact throughout the longest holiday events. To ensure the longest wear, a light dusting of powder foundation over your liquid base can set the makeup and give it a clean matte finish.

3. Covergirl Outlast Lip Color

The holidays are the perfect time to break out your favorite red lipsticks, but who wants to lose that perfect red shine on the rim of their hot chocolate cup? Fear not, collegiettes! Covergirl’s Outlast Lip Color is a two-step formula that ensures your lipstick will stay just as you applied it from the get-go. The Lip Color comes in two tubes: the first is a liquid lip stain that you apply to your lips just as you would any other lip gloss. After allowing this coat to dry, apply the second tube, which resembles a solid clear ChapStick. The color remains vibrant throughout the day and does not budge, making reapplying a thing of the past. At the end of the night, the stain is easily removed with your typical makeup remover or wipes.
