Where better to travel to this week in our Abroad Chronicles than to the home of Paolo, Lizzie McGuire’s celebrity boyfriend in The Lizzie McGuire Movie? Rome! Not only is the Italian food amazing in Rome, but the city is also full of culture, history, and contrasting ancient and modern architecture. It’s beautiful! Wake Forest junior, Regan Wagner, describes her time studying abroad in Rome as, “An unforgettable experience that opened my eyes up to new culture. Rome is such a cool city. Aside from all the touristy stops, you can find a new surprise around ever corner, like pop-up markets and street artists.” It’s clear to see from Regan’s photos why Rome is her all-time favorite European city.
