Studying abroad in Florence has many perks to say the least. Not only are you surrounded by amazing food and culture, but you’re also only a short train ride from many other incredible Italian cities.
Here is a list of the five day trips one has to take when in Italy.
1. San Gimignano, Tuscany
Tuscany offers the perfect day trip for someone who is looking to travel among beautiful Italian vineyards and try some fine wine on the side.
2. Vernazza, Cinque Terre
Voted one of the most beautiful places in the world, Cinque Terre is the perfect place to go for a day in the sun.
3. Milan, Italy
Milan offers beautiful sites like the Milan Cathedral and the Prada Museum, as well as amazing shopping… what more could a girl ask for?
4. Venice, Italy
A city on the water, do I have to say anything else? Be sure to take a gondola ride and get lost among the narrow side streets; you won’t regret it!
5. Rome, Italy
A tough city to tackle in a day, but certainly doable. The Colloseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and Sistine Chapel will be sure to leave you speechless!
