This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Virginia Tech chapter.

Still have some shopping to do for new clothes this season? Look no further than these five TV fashionistas who inspire some of the cutest spring/summer trends. Whether you’re looking for retro looks, something quirky, professional outfits, or a classic style — all of these amazing TV ladies can help you find exactly what you’re looking for this spring.

1. Jackie Burkhart, That 70’s Show

Even if you don’t watch the show, you’ve probably seen a few of Jackie Burkhart’s fabulous outfits floating around on the internet. Her style captures that chic, girly 70’s look that is everything you need this spring. I absolutely love this outfit because it’s fresh, simple and so chic (don’t underestimate the power of a cute neck scarf!!). Watch the show to find more amazing Jackie outfits featuring bell bottoms, french berets, and adorable sundresses.

2. Shoshanna Shapiro, GirlsWant to stand apart from the crowd this spring? Look no further than Shoshanna Shapiro from Girls. On the show, Shoshanna rocks colorful, vibrant outfits that compliment her bubbly personality. Not to mention, she wears some pretty cool hairstyles, like sideways buns and fishtail braids that are perfect for spring. Also, I love that she’s bringing back those snap hair clips that I rocked as a toddler back in 2005. You could say some of her outfits are childish, but I think she puts her own twist on fashion. For more of Shoshanna’s coolest looks, check out some of her outfits in season 5 when she moves to Japan!

3. Olivia Pope, Scandal

Who manages to look this incredibly stylish and professional at the same time? No one else but Olivia Pope on Scandal. Olivia consistently pulls out gorgeous, bold looks that make her look the hottest and most badass woman in the White House. I especially love this orange overcoat because it’s so simple yet so alluring and classic. Olivia’s style is perfect inspo for professional outfits to wearing this spring for an internship or to impress future employers!

4. Hilary Banks, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

Honestly, sometimes I watch this show just to gawk at Hilary’s outfits. In The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, she turns out iconic looks for every season. I know she’s known for having a very expensive taste (who has time for that in college) but Hilary is amazing at styling looks that anyone can wear. You could find a purple halter like the one above pretty much anywhere, and it’s the perfect color for spring! She’s also amazing at accessorizing. Catch her wearing crazy hats, technicolor suits, polkadot skirts, and chic blazers. If you want a stylish 90’s look this spring, Hilary’s style is perfect for you.

5. Jane Villanueva, Jane the Virgin

Jane Villanueva’s style on Jane the Virgin pretty much captures the essence of spring. She likes to sport impeccable pastels, florals, and polka dots. Her style is modern, fresh, classy and mature all at the same time. I especially love how her colorful and flowy sundresses compliment her cheery personality. I think Jane’s outfits really show how the right clothes can brighten up your face and make a great impression on others. Jane’s style in Jane the Virgin will make you want to ditch all your dark flannels and get excited for new clothes this spring and summer!

All of these TV ladies have something great to offer in their fashion choices that will hopefully inspire you to try something new this spring! So sit back, watch a show or two, and take note of all the amazing looks that you could be sporting this season.
