Podcasts are the newest medium to be at the forefront of our current societal trend. Almost every YouTuber, influencer, celebrity, or distant friend of a friend you met your freshman year of college has a podcast now. But, with the rapid influx of podcasts, sometimes finding ones you like can be really difficult to navigate. There’s a podcast out there for every interest and every topic, from love and life to pop culture and true crime. I’ve done my fair share of searching so here are my top 4 recommendations for my twenty-something girlies who are looking to start listening to podcasts.

Binchtopia

Binchtopia is my favorite podcast hands down. Hosted by Julia Hava and Eliza McLamb, they dive into pop culture moments through a sociological and psychological perspective while combining history, listener mail, and our unrestricted access to the internet. From Sylvia Plath and Tumblr culture to attachment styles and dating app hell, they discuss countless topics that are released every Wednesday. If you’re looking for a good laugh while still learning about the world around you and the history behind your favorite pop culture takes, join the binches and give their podcast a listen.

Anything goes with emma chamberlain

I’m sure many people are familiar with the icon Emma Chamberlain whether it is from her viral YouTube channel or her fashion influencer Instagram, but if you haven’t listened to her podcast, it is a must. She chronicles whatever is on her mind in a very casual style that truly makes it feel like a conversation even though you aren’t talking to her. I love listening to her insights, advice, and stories and it makes for a very calming listen every Thursday when new episodes are released.

miss congeniality with Eli Rallo

I found Eli Rallo’s podcast after being obsessed with her TikTok, @thejarr, where she became a viral sensation after posting her snack jar recipe as well as her many lists and rules for all various aspects of life. Like her TikTok, her podcast delivered. With weekly episodes released on Friday, she discusses everything from mental health, to love and sex, and to writing and influencer culture. All her episodes are very feel-good and filled with great advice which can always help me get out of a slump

gals on the go

Gals on the Go is a lifestyle podcast hosted by Danielle Carolan and Brooke Miccio that is all about navigating life in your 20s. I love their episodes because they always seem to address the burning questions I have while I’m navigating my 20s whether it is finding peace in your career, learning how to pursue friendships and relationships as an adult, or creating a work life balance that is so necessary for time in college. They release new episodes every Wednesday and often collaborate with other influencers which helps their podcast answer questions from all aspects of life and culture.
