October has been a blur this year with midterms, assignments, events, meetings, to name a few. If you’re like me, you’ve probably had to postpone fun activities to keep up with your busy schedule. All of a sudden, Halloween is a few days away and you haven’t been able to celebrate nearly as much as you wish. But don’t worry, it’s not too late! You only need one night full of Halloween fun to find satisfaction in how you spent the season. Here are a few steps to get you there.

Step 1: Choose the Perfect Halloween Activity

From pumpkin patches, haunted houses, apple orchards, corn mazes, you name it; Halloween is filled with some of the best activities ever. You’re guaranteed to get adorable pictures, and it’ll give you a nice break from everything going on. Try starting this step right after your classes end so get an early start. If you don’t have time, it’s okay to skip this step. There are still so many things that can be done!

Step 2: Pick Out Movies

While the following steps are playing out, you’re going to want background stimulus playing to really set the vibes. Whether that’s music or a cute movie is your choice. I would recommend Hocus Pocus, The Great Pumpkin, Beetlejuice, or something like that.

The second movie you choose is going to be what you end the night with, so pick something good. I’d recommend a classic horror movie to really embody what the season is all about.

Step 3: Pick Out Food

There are so many foods you can put a Halloween twist on that play off of ghosts, pumpkins, spiders, and all things spooky. I would recommend looking it up on Pinterest or TikTok to find some inspiration that perfectly matches what you want to do. While you’re making it is the perfect time to watch the first movie I was talking about in the previous section or turn on some music. Don’t forget to get some snacks and sweet treats for after dinner!

Step 4: Carve a Pumpkin!

You’ll already be a step ahead if you went to a pumpkin patch, but if you didn’t go and buy a pumpkin from a grocery store. Carving pumpkins in the Halloween activity, and you can’t let the season pass you by before doing it! I would recommend doing it between dinner and the movie.

You have everything you’ll need to have the perfect night before Halloween! I hope everyone is able to find the time to do at least one of these things. Whether you’re with friends or taking some solo time, make sure to slow down, take in the season, and celebrate before it slips away.
