Halloween Costume Ideas

Halloween is right around the corner, so here is an accumulation of costume ideas, whether you want to ride solo this year, have a couple or best friend costume, or if you have a trio friend group.  

SINGLE: 

For those who want to do their own thing for Halloween, single costumes can really showcase a specific type of personality. These can be iconic if done correctly, or they can be silly. Of course, you can dress up like all the classic characters, Barbie, Regina George, Kesha, and more, but here are three ideas that might be a little different: 

1. T-Bo from the Groovy Smoothie from iCarly: I came across this one on Pinterest and thought it was sort of unique and fun. You need a long-sleeved purple shirt, an orange short-sleeved shirt, a bandana, and a stick of donuts, and your costume will be complete.  

2. Strawberry Shortcake: This is just so cute and girly. You can find really good stuff on Amazon to create the perfect costume. 

3. Miss American Pie: I saw this on TikTok, and I am sure you can research to find amazing items to put together an iconic costume. 

DUO: 

Duo costumes are amazing if done right. There are so many ideas out there, but here are just a few if you are stuck and need a little advice.  

1. Needy and Jessica from the movie Jessica’s Body: This would be so iconic and perfect for a blonde, brunette duo. My friend had actually spoken about this one, and I thought it was just too good not to mention.  

2. Harry Potter and the Golden Snitch: This was on my boyfriend’s and my list this year. We ended up deciding on another costume, but I still think this is a perfect idea. 

3. Perry the Platypus and Dr. Doofenschmirtz: This is Disney core for those who grew up in this era.  

4. Twins from The Shining 

TRIO: 

Trios can be more challenging, but there is also a little more freedom to come up with ideas. Here are four ideas that I personally love.  

1. Alvin and the Chipmunks: You and your girls can get skirts and get sparkly with this one! 

2. Hershey Kisses or just kisses in general: For the kisses in general, what I mean is you can do like “French kiss” or “Chef’s Kiss” and dress as a French girl or a chef and get creative. I think it is fun and pretty!  

3. Different drinks: Examples include Martini, Aperol spritz, Margarita, and more! 

4. Party animals: You need party hats and animal prints to make this costume great! It is a unique play on words and so fun!
