This week’s love it or leave it takes a look at the “Fit Me” Maybelline Foundation. The ads claim that it matches natural skin tone and “lets the real you come through.” The foundation is supposed to be breathable and blend seamlessly.  The shades also have numbers that match with corresponding powder, concealer, blush and bronzer.
The commercials shows models such as Jessica White saying,” Don’t cover me, fit me,” and stating their foundation number. I couldn’t wait to try this out because I have trouble finding a perfect foundation. Most of the time I have to blend two colors to get it just right.  The line has 18 shades to choose from but after dabbing a bit on my wrist I decided to go with the 350 shade. Much to my wallet’s favor it cost about $7.  Now it was time for the real test!
Using only my fingers the liquid foundation blended perfectly into my skin. The texture wasn’t runny which I appreciated and gave me light coverage. It isn’t very buildable for heavier coverage but it is definitely breathable.

My Verdict: Love It!

It’s very true to what they advertised as a light, well-matched foundation. If you’re looking for medium to heavy coverage this isn’t for you. Also if you tend to have oily skin you might not like this product. I would suggest buying the Fit Me Maybelline powder for touchups during the day.  Otherwise, I would give this a thumbs up!
