Not only were the Hokies anxiously waiting for “Enter Sandman” to start playing at the first game against Georgia Tech, but everybody was also eagerly watching to see if the dark clouds above, illuminated by the stadium lights, were going to burst. Even with the forecast calling for thunderstorms, only a few drops of rain were felt on that victorious night.
