It’s difficult to believe, but spring break is just a few weeks away for VCU students. Whether you’re going on vacation, staying with family or staying home in Richmond, spring break is the perfect time to reflect while listening to music. Here are ten songs to check out this spring break.

1. A World Alone – Lorde There’s something about this song that just feels like spring. Plus, Lorde is always good to listen to when you’re driving around a suburban neighborhood.

2. Gold on the Ceiling – The Black Keys This is the perfect song to play at the end of a road trip right when you’re reaching your destination.

3. The Lazy Song – Bruno Mars For some of us, spring break is the first real break of the semester. Take a day to relax just like Mr. Mars.

4. Wake Up – Arcade Fire This is another good road trip song to listen to while you’re passing the time.

5. Still Into YouParamore This song is just something fun to listen to when you get a free moment.

6. Jumpin Jumpin – Destiny’s Child An oldie, but a goodie. Take time this spring break to catch up with your girls.

7. Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) – Katy Perry Blast this as you’re walking out of your last class the Friday spring break starts.

8. Crown On The Ground – Sleigh Bells This song is perfect for dancing.

9. Giving Up The Gun – Vampire Weekend This is another song that just feels like spring. If you have time, watch the music video which features several celebrities.

10. This TimeTomorrow – The Kinks  A road trip song for any point in the trip. Also a good travel/driving song in general.
