Roses are red. Violets are blue. Who cares because Netflix will always be there for you.

Whether you’re spending the day with your valentine, friends or a pint of Ben and Jerry’s, we have the perfect list of movies to watch on this special day. The best part? There’s no such thing as rejection to Netflix — unless you don’t pay up, that is.

“New York, I Love You” (2008)

Who would mind saying they spent Valentine’s Day with Bradley Cooper, Shia LaBeouf AND Orlando Bloom? We sure wouldn’t. So here’s a lovely movie called New York, I love you. It’s a sweet rom-com featuring Hollywood’s A-listers finding love in the city that never sleeps. Let’s just pretend it’s all happening in Richmond. A girl can dream.

 “Amelie” (2001)

Ooh la la. You can cozy up to this dedicatedly simple yet sweet French film about a painfully shy Amelie helping strangers around her while also obsessing about the love of her life. Featuring beautiful shots of Montmartre, Paris, it’s nearly impossible to not fall in love with this movie.

“Clueless” (1995)

Quotes like, “He does dress better than I do, what would I bring to the relationship?” are the reason why watching this movies, featuring Alicia Silverstone and Stacey Dash, is a must for Valentine’s Day. It has a nice mix of comedy, romance and is an all-around feel good movie. It doesn’t matter whether you absolutely loathe Valentine’s Day or practically live for it, this movie is for you.

Blue Valentine” (2010)

Maybe you’re not into those sappy happy movies? We feel you. If that’s the case then check out Blue Valentine. This heartbreaking, yet not a devastating romance features an older Ryan Gosling (receding hairline and all) and will make you completely reevaluate your relationship status. It’s all about the story of two strangers who fall beautifully in love even with a dreary rode ahead. At least you can think to yourself, who needs sadness when you have Netflix, right? Right.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961)

It doesn’t get more classic than the amazing Audrey Hepburn’s portrayal of a socialite in 1961’s New York. As a sophisticated romance, Breakfast at Tiffany’s  is laced with sparkling moments and amazing chemistry between Holly and Paul than will warm your heart on what is supposed to be the most romantic day of the year. Hey, at least Netflix understands.
