The summer of 2022 is fast approaching and while we are all probably focusing on what our Hot Girl Summer will look like, color trends are becoming more and more popular. The fashion world is ever-changing and its styles are making their way into our clothes. When looking ahead as the weather begins to warm up the top colors are bold and the return of maximalism will reign.

Scroll on down to see the hot colors you’ll be seeing as the weather warms up.

periwinkle blue

Up first we have an icy hue of blue that lives in the violet family. Periwinkle is such a trendy color as it can be worn dressed up or down. Whether you’re going for a business casual look or a dress to walk the boardwalk, this color will have you feeling put together. Its cool tone will have the hottest weather reminding you of cloudy blue skies.

Tangerine Orange

This orange is a bold statement color with lively elements. It’s perfect for any type of dress. With this saturated tone, it perfectly blends the elements of a fierce red with lively yellow. It’s giving energy, youthfulness and to no surprise happiness with how fun of a color it is.

hot pink

This is by far one of the most fun shades of pink and I wouldn’t mind spending my summer living out my “Legally Blonde” fantasies. It’s playful and is a symbol of positivity, which we could all use a bit of after these last couple of years. Take time to step out of your comfort zone and dress up in this vivacious color and feel the power of Elle Woods run through your veins.

Lavender

This is by far my current favorite color. I can’t wait to explore different styles as the weather warms up. Again, this color is bold and flamboyant. When I first started buying clothes in this color I was very nervous to wear them and didn’t really know how to pair them with other items. I have since become more comfortable in the color and wear it at least once a week.

This color is perfect with neutral tones including brown, cream, khaki or black. It would also be so iconic to wear as a monochromatic outfit, a dress or a two-piece.

Kelly Green

Resembling the pure green color that lays between blue and yellow on the color wheel, kelly green is making its way into the fashion world. Identified by its intensity and Irish family name it is a fun, practical color to try out this summer. Get in touch with your inner brightness, take a walk and snap some photos of your new lively look.

Fuchsia

Last but definitely not least there’s fuchsia. It is known for its dark purple-red color and being a part of the magenta family. It is bold, vibrant and can be an alternative to the brightly colored hot pink. It is a mix of warm and cool tones and should make its way into your closet this summer.

Now that you’ve seen some of the trends for the upcoming season it’s time for you to explore your own fashion and find styles that work for you and compliment you, but most of all pieces that you feel comfortable and beautiful in.

What colors will you be experimenting with this summer?
