Luckily for college students and foodies, there are so many different bars and restaurants that offer amazing bang-for-your-buck happy hour deals.
Fat Dragon Chinese Kitchen & Bar
Fat Dragon offers multiple Asian-inspired dishes varying from dumplings to ramen and noodle bowls. Happy hour is from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Their daily specials include $1 off of draft beers, bottles and cans, as well as select cocktails and appetizers being only $6. Weekly specials are Monday is industry night, Tuesday is free tonic, Wednesday is wine night, Thursday is extended happy hour until 8:00 p.m., and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are Kick the Keg.
Can Can Brasserie
Can-Can is a French brasserie located in Carytown. They offer various food items, such as soups, sandwiches, salads, seafood, and more. My favorite is the restaurant’s Croque Madame and a side of fries. Happy hour is from 5 to 7 p.m. Specials change depending on the day. However, some everyday deals include half price on shrimp cocktails and $2 raw oysters.
Galaxy Diner
Galaxy Diner is a diner-style restaurant that offers a wide range of popular foods in America including breakfast, sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, and much more. Galaxy Diner also offers drink specials from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Weekday deals include $3 drafts and rails and $2 PBRs. On Sundays, they offer $3 Bloody Marys and mimosas.
Blue Habanero
Blue Habanero is a family-owned bar and restaurant. They offer Mexican-style dishes such as street corn, carne asade, tacos, quesadillas and Taquitos. The street tacos and the chips with queso are to die for! Happy hour is every day from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. They offer $5 lime margaritas, $7 Flavored, Cadillac, Octopus, and Spicy Mango Margaritas and $10 signature margaritas.
Capital Ale House
Capital Ale House is a restaurant that offers craft beer. From Monday through Friday, happy hour is from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Specials include $2 off draft beers, $3 off highballs, featured wine, house specialty cocktails, Bavarian pretzels, Belgian fries, loaded fries, sweet potato fries, fried pickles and 5 count wings. Capital Ale House also has late-night happy hours on Sundays through Thursdays from 9 p.m. to close. Deals include half-off appetizers and $5 off daily specials. Each day during a late-night special also offers particular discounts for that day of the week.
Wong Gonzalez
Wong Gonzalez is an Asian and Latin fusion restaurant. As a result, they provide customers with a unique culinary experience. Happy hour is on Tuesday through Sunday from 4 p.m. to 6p.m. Specials include $1 off of all beer, wine by the glass, and $6 house margaritas and well cocktails. On Tuesdays, they have a special called Taco Tuesdays where all tacos are 50% off.
