Must See Concerts in Richmond this Summer

Although many collegiettes will be going home and going on vacations to relax, many will be staying right here in RVA! If you’ll be in Richmond this summer, you have to take advantage of the many concerts that will be happening!

The National

Many popular artists will be coming to The National this summer. Some of the artists on their schedule are: Cage the Elephant, Chromeo, Bastille, Modest Mouse, Neon Trees, and A Great Big World.  They even have a night to re-live the 80’s and 90’s this summer.

Here are the dates:

May 10: Cage the Elephant with Foals, J. Roddy Walston and The Business

May 13: Chromeo

May 16: The Legwarmers Ultimate 80’s experience

May 19: Modest Mouse

May 20: Neon Trees

May 21: Bastille

Innsbrook After Hours

This is the 29th year that Innsbrook is bringing great live music to the Richmond area. This year they have an eclectic mix of artists such as Rebelution, Summerland, O.A.R. & Phillip Phillips, Gavin Degraw & Matt Nathanson and more. The series of concerts begin on May 21st and end on September 11th.

Brown’s Island

One major concert that will be coming to Brown’s Island on June 9 for all the EDM fans out there, is The Mothership Tour. The line up includes: Skrillex, Dillon Francis, What So Not, and Milo & Otis.   For more information on this visit, https://www.facebook.com/events/1490921791135335/?source=1

Portia, is a 22 year old Senior majoring in Cinema and double minoring in General Business and Media Studies at VCU. She transferred from The University of Hawaii at Leeward Community College, after graduating in 2012 with an Associate in Science in Television Production. Portia has a passion for all things art related, asian cuisine, traveling, and Bollywood movies.  In the future, she aspires to one day return to Hawaii and direct and create movies of all different genres and continue her passion for the arts.
