You’ve probably seen this goofball around campus. He’s a very outgoing and a driven brother of VCU’s Theta Chi Fraternity; he’s always going to mixers, Greek functions and many, many parties. He’s the kind of guy that will always have your back, brighten your day with a joke or give you a shoulder to lean on.  Check out HC’s Campus Celebrity of the week, Milad Hemmatian!

Name: Milad Hemmatian

Year: Junior

Majors: Criminal Justice and Economics

What is your favorite thing about VCU?
The atmosphere of Richmond. I love that we have an urban campus but can go to the river whenever we want, too. There is never a dull moment at VCU. You ALWAYS see something new around here.

When did you join Theta Chi?
Second Semester of my Sophomore year.

What made you want to join Theta Chi out of any other Fraternity?
I’ve known Kevin Grosicki , the current president of Theta Chi, since high school and he really wanted me to join. He told me I would fit right in. Once I met all the brothers I knew it was where I wanted to be.  They all welcomed me with open arms. There was never a doubt in my mind that I made the right choice.

What would you say are some of your favorite things about Theta Chi?
Definitely the bonds I’ve made with all of the brothers. They are truly like family to me.  I’ve also made a lot of connections. It’s great to be so involved with the university.
