Working as a barista in college is one of the most eye opening experiences. You meet the sweetest customers and the biggest jerks. The hardest part is serving your customers with a smile every day. Here are some thoughts that run through a barista’s mind, whether they realize it or not.

1. You appreciate the calm before the storm because a flood of customers comes out of nowhere.

2. Try your hardest to smile pleasantly as someone orders the most complicated order during rush.

3. Going home and finding the most random cuts and burns.

4. Feeling amazing after making the lightest cappuccino.

5. Feeling uncomfortable when customers intently stare as you make their drink.

6. Try really hard to politely tell customer where they can locate cream and sugar.

7. Toward the end of the shift, you are just not in the mood.

Remember to be kind to your barista!
