Well I don’t know about you, but I’ve never heard anyone say anything about an age restriction for anything Disney related. Here are five inspirational Disney movies that can help you find your lost inspiration and make you realize what really matters in life when you are too stressed to think.

1. The Lion King

Because “hakuna matata,” am I right? During your time in college, sometimes you can find yourself becoming lost by the person you were versus the person you are becoming. Different circumstances and experiences are always coming your way, molding you into the person you are today. But the important thing is to not forget about your past self. Even the bad qualities — let them be a reminder to you that you are changed, different, but you are you.

2. Lilo and Stitch

To be honest, I think everyone should have a close friend who’s an alien, like Stitch. Despite the fun-filled adventures of Lilo and Stitch, one important lesson that you can get from this movie, is the value of family. As you are headed into adulthood, it’s always important to remember that your family was there to encourage you, take care of you and lead you to becoming successful in life.

3. Beauty and the Beast

Whether you watch the one with the beautiful Emma Watson or the classic one from 1991, they both give the same message. Don’t judge a person by his/her outer appearance. Belle took a chance and realized that there was a loving man behind the beast, and that’s an important quality to have when you are meeting new people. Whether it be with friends or potential SO’s, take the time to actually learn about a person before you get ready to judge them.

4. Ratatouille

Personally, I wouldn’t want a rat cooking my meal. But, I gotta say, I’m down for Remy making me a full course meal of ratatouille. Of course, in reality you wouldn’t see a rat cooking, but that didn’t stop Remy. Despite his own clan discouraging him from mingling with humans, he still pushed himself to follow his dreams. With that being said, always remember to follow your passion, no matter what people tell you.

5. Mulan

Need some girl power? Mulan is definitely the right movie to watch. Mulan is an influential woman and leader, it is important to remember that you are a leader of your own life. Your decisions and choices are yours to make, not anyone else’s. Your job is just to do your best, while being you.

Maybe take an hour or so today and watch one of these movies. You’ll feel a lot more inspired to finish your tasks for the day!
