Easter is just around the corner and whether you celebrate the holiday or not, everyone can decorate Easter Eggs. This fun little tradition has the tendency to produce dozens of colorful eggs and in some cases, hands (if you were using them to pick the eggs out of their dye baths). In this DIY age there’s even more ways to decorate. Here are five Easter Egg ideas to try!

1. Washi Tape Eggs

Washi Tape is a fairly new trend that is seems to be particularly popular among DIY enthusiasts. The colorful tape can be placed over the eggs in an array of shapes/patterns. Simple and fun. Found at: http://lovelyindeed.com/diy-washi-tape-easter-eggs/

2. Marble Eggs

This one has a bit of a process, but it’s fairly straightforward. Using two different colors of dye (one darker than the other) you can make an egg with swirl patterns. Found at: http://www.radacutlery.com/blog/easter-marble-eggs/

3. Sharpie Eggs

Doodle anything you’d like onto your eggs using a Sharpie pen. Found at: http://alisaburke.blogspot.com/2011/04/doodle-easter-eggs.html

4. Sprinkle Eggs

This one seems like it could be a little messy, but the egg itself looks super cute. Using tacky glue and nonpareil sprinkles, you can create a standout egg. Found at: http://www.studiodiy.com/2013/03/20/diy-sprinkle-easter-eggs/

5. Confetti Eggs

A personal favorite of mine; these eggs won’t last for weeks, but are perfect for a fun party. Hollow out raw eggs and stuff them with glitter or confetti paper, then you can break them over people’s heads in the best game of tag ever.
