The rainy season is upon us and who wants to get all dressed up and go out on a wet Friday or Saturday night? Keep calm, collegiettes. Grab some snacks and your comfiest pair of sweatpants. We have the perfect rainy day Netflix list for you and your girls.

1. House of Cards:

This incredibly messy political drama series will have you on the edge of your seat the entire time. Kevin Spacey kills this role and you will not be able to stop watching. You may even notice some parallels to the current political situation America is in.

2. Sense 8:

The concept is crazy. Eight strangers from all over the world (and yes, they literally film this series all over the world) find themselves linked by their shared abilities to connect with each other’s thoughts and actions. Get into this.

3. Cleverman:

This Australian-New Zealand-American television drama series is deeply rooted in ancient Aboriginal mythology. Two estranged brothers are forced together to fight for survival when one of them becomes the Cleverman in these reimagined stories of the Aboriginal Dreamtime.

4. Stranger Things:

When a 12-year-old boy from a small town in Indiana goes missing, strange things begin happening as his family and friends search for answers. If you haven’t already binge-watched the first season, you need to.

5. The Fall:

It’s a chilling psychological thriller that observes the lives of two hunters. One is a serial killer and the other is a detective dedicated to catching him. It seems gruesome, but you’ll love following this story and you’ll love all of the plot twists even more.

6. Luke Cage:

Marvel tells the story of a Black man that becomes bulletproof after a prison experiment. He eventually uses his powers to become Harlem’s hero in this action-packed drama series. If you haven’t seen season one yet, you need to get on it.

7. Portlandia:

Okay, this show is actually hilarious. Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein make the perfect team. Their latest project (Portlandia) pokes fun at the city of Portland, Oregon. Get ready to laugh your butt off.

8. Black Mirror:

Brace yourselves. This futuristic techno series is meant to mess with your head. It’s thrilling. It’s suspenseful. It taps into the uneasiness about the modern world. Sit back, relax and get ready to have your mind blown.

9. Chewing Gum:

This hilarious British sitcom is way too relatable. The show follows the life of a religious 24-year-old who wants to lose her virginity and learn more about the world. The hardest part is making sense of it all.

10. The OA:

Do you think a lot about life after death? If the answer is ‘yes,’ then this show is for you, my friend. No, it isn’t scary. It’s mind-bending. Enjoy the riveting story about the blind girl that was kidnapped for seven years and could see again when she was rescued.

11. Shameless:

Three words: Jeremy. Allen. White. This dramedy set in Southside Chicago is about the trials and tribulations of six children with two neglectful parents. The oldest daughter takes responsibility where her parents lack.

12. Quantico:

It starts off simple. Young government agents go through training to become special agents. However, when one recruit ends up being suspected of organizing the deadliest attack on the United States since 9/11, she must fight to clear her name.
