At a Loss of What to Wear for the Warmer Weather? Here’s What’s in Trend This Spring

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Vanderbilt chapter.

Every season has its trends, and as we all shed our layers for warmer weather, here are some things you might catch people wearing this spring!

  1. Neutrals All beige, gray, black, or white outfits have been trending lately. The neutrals make you look super chic and clean cut.

  2. Pastels Spring is not complete without pastel clothing. Baby pinks and blues are particularly popular this season.

  3. Bike Shorts This trend takes the athletic shorts, typically worn while biking, and transforms it into a fashion statement. Although bike shorts are outside my personal comfort zone, many people will love this athleisure look.

  4. Overall dresses I think these dresses are so cute, and the corduroy helps keep you warm. This is a trend that you’ll catch me sporting this spring.

  5. Wide leg pants Wide leg pants used to be in fashion before skinny jeans began trending. However, what goes around always comes back around. With a simple tank top or tee, wide leg pants will become an eye-catching statement piece in your outfit.

  6. Front-tie tops Having a front tie adds a fun and chic touch to any top, and can help cinch in your waist for that hourglass body shape. I think these help you look classy without being over the top, and can also be dressed up or down depending on what you pair them with.

  7. Anything cropped Crop tops have been in style for a while, but nowadays everything is being cropped, from hoodies to long sleeves to blouses even. With the weather warming up, crop tops will be everywhere.
