We all want to look hot on New Year’s Eve. But how can we manage when we’re constantly being faced by delectable Christmas-themed goodies? The key is not swearing off peppermint bark like the plague- it’s finding a dress that makes your unique body look its best. We can’t all be Victoria’s Secret models, and that’s actually a good thing. I guarantee that if you have a man in your life, he loves your body and wouldn’t trade it for anything. And if you don’t have someone special yet, that silly little thing called confidence will take your farther than any Herve Leger bodycon dress. So stop stressing about holiday food and start searching for your perfect dress!

BCBG MAXAZRIA Yasminka Corset A-Line Dress, $268

So I know this dress has the word “corset” in its description, but please give it a chance. The color red makes you look 10x hotter and 10x more confident, which is definitely a plus on New Year’s Eve. A-line dresses are also extremely figure-flattering, and the corset in the top half of the dress will make you look super sleek. This dress is perfect for all my pear-shaped ladies out there who want to flatter their tiny waists and slim arms!

BCBG MAXAZRIA Anaya Long-Sleeve Braided Sequined Dress, $428

This dress is a tad expensive, but if you happen to have some extra money laying around, you should totally go for it. The sparkles are very NYE-appropriate, and the fit is stunning. This dress would look especially awesome on curvy, hourglass shapes- if you’ve got it, flaunt it, girl! And on that note, if you do have curves, refrain from hiding them in baggy dresses. They actually just make you look bigger! Curvy girls look best in dresses that show off their shape. So if you have those coveted curves, keep that in mind while you’re shopping!

Bebe Embellished Skirt Dolman Dress, $325

This sparkly LBD is a great choice for New Year’s Eve, especially if you’ll be somewhere cold. Those little sleeves will really make a difference! Plus, the fit is slightly more comfy than most, which is a plus if you want to be cozy AND sexy. This is a great choice for girls with slim hips and bigger top halves, but if you’re busty, consider investing in some fashion tape- you don’t want anything popping out unexpected!

Free People Shimmy Shimmy Party Dress, $198

Do you want all eyes to be on you this New Year’s Eve? Then head out to everyone’s favorite hipster store, Free People, and pick up this wonderfully sparkly frock! It’s flirty, fun, and even a little bit Gatsby. But beware- you HAVE to be rocking confidence if you want to pull this dress off! Those sparkles are not meant for wall-sitting ;)

So there you have it folks! Let these picks inspire you to find the perfect dress for New Year’s Eve. Just remember to pick one that makes you look lovely and feel amazing- that’s really all that matters :)

Good food (especially from Sweet Cece's, Bricktops, and Samurai Sushi), great books (The Hypnotist's Love Story is a recent favorite), her family back in Florida, her wonderful boyfriend, and all of the great friends she's made at Vanderbilt.
