Yes, it’s finally here. A week to kick back and relax. Some go home, others go crazy. But everyone needs to know some key details to prepare for Spring Break enjoyment.

1.     Most people are working a little too hard to get a beach body right now. Don’t overwork yourself. Eat right, and don’t do those fad diets, which always backfire anyways. Love your body!

2.     Buy your plane tickets/hotel ASAP. Prices only go up closer to the date, and they will already be pricey since this is a popular travel time.

3.     Plan it out. Figure out where you’re staying, where you can eat (without catching food poisoning), and who you are going with. There is only so much you can do last minute. The more you have pre-planned, the more you can enjoy yourself.

4.     Have a buddy system! If you are traveling with some of your girlfriends, make sure you stick together at your destination. The real world is dangerous. You may meet a cute boy on the beach, but think twice before going off alone with him. Stay safe and stay with your friends. And if you choose to go with the guy, make sure you have your phone, fully charged, and all of your friends’ numbers. Have a back-up plan.

5.     Have fun responsibly! Yes, this is a time to party and you definitely deserve a few drinks from working so hard. But keep it classy. There is no need to black out, lose your friends, or get lost in a strange city. If you do plan on going a little nuts, make sure one of your friends can be the sober savior.

6.     Keep your valuables in a safe place. If your hotel has a safe, put your keys, money, etc. in there. Don’t get robbed on your week of fun!

Use these tips to have fun on this year’s Spring Break trip, and enjoy the week off from school and stress!
