How did you go about getting an internship at CMT? 

I just applied online. I interned at Paramount Pictures this past summer, and CMT and Paramount are owned by the same parent company, so they were able to help connect me to the internship program.

How do you balance an internship with academics and your other activities?

I’m tired a lot of the time. I work from 1-6pm Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, so I do a lot of my school work and meetings at night. Sometimes at work, there is a little down time, so I can get some school work done there. 

Since you’re an active photographer, what advice do you have for posting great Instagram pictures?

Good lighting is key, the brighter the better. Also try taking a picture from every angle and don’t over edit your photos. I really like the editing apps Lightroom, Photoshop Express, VSCO and Pic Tap Go. 

What is your favorite thing to do in Nashville?

Go to free concerts. 

What advice do you have for freshmen?

Don’t be afraid to try a bunch of new things and sign up for a ton of organizations because you never know what you’ll like.
