Today, I got an e-mail from Lilly Pulitzer showing one of their models walking on the beach in an adorable pink and green bathing suit.

After I got over my initial body-envy, I got to thinking about how I really need some bathing suits for my spring break adventures. And for tanning on the lawn… and for formal……….

So I realized- it’s time for bathing suit shopping.

Here are a few of my favorites!!!

Absolutely anything from Lilly Pulitzer

This is the picture I received via e-mail this morning. So like first…. HOW IS THAT BODY POSSIBLE?!?!?! Literally could not be more jealous. But second of all, how cute is that bathing suit?? Lilly has a ton of great stuff for spring on their website right now, and I highly recommend that you check it all out. Their bathing suits are perfect if you want to look cute and/or preppy on the beach. I’m personally a fan of the Boardwalk Bikini Top Bar and Sandi String O Bottom in Lagoon Green Moving Slowly Swim. The cut of this suit is super flattering and the print has turtles in it!!! So adorable.

J.Crew Candy Anchor String Top and String Hipster

While I love almost all of J.Crew’s bathing suits, this one stood out to me for it’s understated colors and superiorly preppy print. I can’t think of anyone who doesn’t love anchors, and this particular suit uses them in a non-obnoxious way to make you look nautical and totally ready for the beach. This would be perfect for formal or for tanning on the lawn, and I could not love it more! I also really like the neon floral and seersucker prints!

Vix Solid Mint Bia Tube Top and Bottom

Okay like, once again body envy…..

But the bathing suit on the left is the one I’m absolutely in love with. The color is perfect and Vix swimsuits fit SO well. They’re also really soft, and I can’t think of any guy who wouldn’t love a girl in a soft, sexy bikini. Like, come on. Be sure to check out the Vix website for some more really cute prints, like the Cayman!

Hopefully these selections have inspired you to start bathing suit shopping! If you’re feeling a little self-conscious about your body after checking out the painfully perfectm models, remember, they probably don’t eat ever. And they get paid to work out for hours on end, so don’t beat yourself up!!! We’re all sexy and beautiful- we just need the right swimsuit to rock this spring!

She became assistant editor that year and is now the Campus Correspondent for Vanderbilt HC as a sophomore. Stacey is currently a columnist for Ask Miss A- Nashville and the life section of The Hustler. She's also very involved in her sorority, Kappa Delta, as well as Invisible Children. Outside of school and her extracurriculars, Stacey finds happiness in many sources, the most crucial being exercise and the sun. She loves to attend exercise classes and is an avid runner; she recently completed the Country Music Half Marathon. She also loves Vitamin D, especially when on the beach- though of course, she only soaks up the sun after applying SPF. A few of the things Stacey couldn't live without? Good food (especially from Sweet Cece's, Bricktops, and Samurai Sushi), great books (The Hypnotist's Love Story is a recent favorite), her family back in Florida, her wonderful boyfriend, and all of the great friends she's made at Vanderbilt.
