#WomanCrushWednesday: 5 Reasons We Love Jennifer Lopez

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Valdosta chapter.

She first caught our attention as a Fly Girl on In Living Color, however now you might recognize her from just about every category in life: her movies, relationships, red carpets, and performances. We love her for so many reasons, but we’ve managed to find five good ones. This week’s Woman Crush Wednesday is none other than Jennifer Lopez, and here’s why!

1. Her Body is Everything

How is it possible to look this good at 45? She said in an interview once, “I remember when I had baby fat and my thighs were so out of proportion to my ankles.” Well we don’t believe you, J-Lo! She maintains her physique with a salt and sugar free diet, not to mention she’s always on the move.

2. Her Fashion is Timeless

It’s been 15 years. Who knew we would still be swooning over her 2000 Grammy Versace gown? She even recreated the look at a concert last year and again in her “I Luh Ya Papi” music video proving she still looks just as good in it as she did then. We imagine a tour of her closet would complete anyone’s life.

3.She Doesn’t Discriminate

She’s had her fair share of every flavor. Remember her and Ben? Their high profile relationship was one of the first highly publicized stories to end up on every tabloid magazine cover. And how could we forget Puffy. Their relationship included jail time. There was also the father of her kids, Marc Anthony and most recently Casper Smart. We can’t wait to see who’s next!

4. She Helped Us Remember Selena

Even though we cry our eyes out when we know what’s going to happen in the end, we definitely love Jennifer Lopez because of her portrayal of the late Selena Quintanilla. Not a lot of people knew who she was before the 1997 biography of her life story. Jennifer says it’s because of the Selena movie that she decided to go for a career in music.

5. She Does It All

She acts, sings, she’s a TV personality, an entrepreneur, and author. It’s hard to believe she manages all of this with two kids. We don’t know how you do it J-Lo, but it’s inspiring to know you have the same 24 hours as everyone else and still manage to make it work.

HCXO!
