Meet Monica and Chris! Monica might look familiar because you have seen her dance as a VSU Red Hot at football games & during breaks at the VSU basketball games. Chris is your all-around cool guy who you can catch on North Campus hanging out in between his business classes. Monica and Chris have been dating for six months, and are both in their third year here at VSU! Find out more about Monica and Chris here!
HC: How did you and Chris meet?
Monica: We met through mutual friends at a VSU basketball game.
HC: What are three things you like the most about Chris?
Monica: He makes me laugh, even when I’m in the worst mood. He is always positive, even in the saddest and hardest times. He is trustworthy and supports me in everything I do.
HC: How would you describe your first date in five words?
Monica: “We felt perfect for each other.” The picture [below] is actually of us going out on our first date.
HC: How long did you and Chris get to know each other before you started dating?
Monica: We “talked” for almost six months before we started dating.
HC: So what would you say is the foundation of your relationship?
Monica: Trust and support.
HC: What have you learned from your relationship with Chris that you would give as advice to other couples?
Monica: There are going to be major disagreements, but try your best to compromise. Sometimes it’s very hard to see past our differences, especially when other people constantly bring them up and look down upon us. We stay focused on each other and don’t let other people’s opinions determine our relationship.
