Every summer, audiences everywhere head to the movie theaters to catch the latest summer blockbusters. This summer is no different. The summer of 2015 is boasting a roster of highly anticipated films, from superhero flicks, musical comedies, and sequels. Check out which movies you should be on the lookout for this summer, and watch the trailers linked below.

“Avengers: Age of Ultron”

This is probably the most highly anticipated film of the summer. “Avengers: Age of Ultron” is a sequel to Marvel’s “The Avengers”. In the film, Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk and others team up once again to stop a new and powerful threat from taking over the world. The film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo. It is set to be released on May 1st.

“Pitch Perfect 2”

The Bellas are back! “Pitch Perfect 2”, the sequel to the musical comedy “Pitch Perfect”, follows The Bellas as they compete against acapella groups from around the world in a singing competition. The film stars Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, and Brittany Snow and will hit theaters on May 15th.

“Hot Pursuit”

If you are in to comedies, then check out the movie “Hot Pursuit”. The movie, starring Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara, tells the story of a cop who is assigned to protect a drug cartel’s wife. Witherspoon is most well known for her role as Elle Woods in the movie “Legally Blonde”, and Vergara stars on the ABC sitcom, Modern Family. “Hot Pursuit” hits theaters on May 8th.

“Inside Out”

This movie is for those of us who are kids at heart. “Inside Out” tells the story about a young girl and the emotions inside her head. It’s a Disney-Pixar film, the same company that brought you “Up”, and “Monster’s Inc”. “Inside Out” will be released on June 15th. It stars the voices of Amy Poehler, Mindy Kalling, and Bill Hader.

“Jurassic World”

This summer, re-visit the world of Jurassic Park. Most of us remember the 90s blockbuster hit and its many sequels. In “Jurassic World”, starring Chris Pratt, the park is open to the public, but when a dinosaur escapes things don’t go as planned. Check out “Jurassic World” on June 12th.
