Shea Moisture is known for having some of the best hair and skin products, especially for people with natural hair! I recently discovered the Jamaican Black Castor Oil line by Shea Moisture and it has made a huge difference in my hair. The three items I bought from the Jamaican Black Castor Oil line were the Strengthen, Grow & Restore Shampoo, Leave-in Conditioner, and Treatment Masque!
Strengthen, Grow & Restore Shampoo: The shampoo had a subtle smell, but it lathered very well and left my hair feeling a lot softer than before. My scalp also felt very clean and moisturized.
Strengthen, Grow & Restore Treatment Masque: This masque has a thick consistency and has the same subtle smell as the shampoo. I applied this masque to my hair, place a shower cap over my hair, and sat under the dryer for 30 minutes. I, then, washed the masque out and my hair felt even softer than it did after I shampooed it! My hair has always been dry and doesn’t really absorb products, so I was shocked that it reacted so well to these products!
Strengthen, Grow & Restore Leave-in Conditioner: This leave-in conditioner has a light, creamy consistency, but I applied it once a day (mostly at night, before bed) and my hair felt soft, moisturized and manageable!
In addition to my hair being soft, these products made my hair grow EXTREMELY fast. My hair grew an inch in 3 weeks! Castor oil promotes hair growth, so I expected some growth, but not as much growth as I received, and definitely not as fast as 3 weeks!
Overall, I give Shea Moisture and A+ for this line! HCXO!
