Our Her Campus member of the week is our president Michaela Leung! She received the most views on her Campus Celebrity article on Eliza Reyes! Michaela is a junior majoring in Mass Media here at VSU. She has been a part of the Her Campus team since it started in March 2014. She is also a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista, social media intern for Feather Magazine, editor-in-chief of Valdosta’s Chapter of the Odyssey, a Writing Rep for IndieU, campus ambassador of Trusper and WayUp, and Interim Station Manager for WVVS Blaze FM. In her spare time she likes listening to music, learning about pop culture, reading about fashion, shopping, working out, cooking and exploring the world around her.
Michaela loves being a part of Her Campus for many reasons. She says, “I enjoy meeting new people, and all of the girls on the team are great and I enjoy working with them toward a common goal. I also enjoy the writing, editing, and management experience I’m getting.” Michaela chose to write about Eliza because “she is just super talented, hard working and positive individual,” she said. “Eliza and I are co-workers, so I see how hard she works and how dedicated she is to her education and art. I felt like her talent and skill deserved to be shown to everyone.” Michaela has been the president of HCValdosta for the 2015-2016 school year. “Being president means so much to me. Honestly, when I joined my freshman year I was just excited about writing and having a Her Campus chapter at our school. The position came about after a sequence of events and I couldn’t be happier. I love being able to get this experience, network, and be a part of something that’s so awesome.”
