It’s fall and many people are going to the fair. Fairs like the Georgia National Fair in Perry,GA is hosting its 26th annual fair October 8th – October 18th. People from all over the state of Georgia and the world come to the fair to enjoy table and booth games, wild rides, and especially the food. Some people come to fairs just for the once a year taste of fair food. If you can’t attend a fair this fall or if you want some fair food in the comfort of your home here are two easy recipes to make your house a fair ground with great cuisine.

1. The Caramel Candy Apple
Candy apples are one of the top fair foods, and they are simple to make. The only things you will need for making a caramel candy apple are green or red apples, caramel, a microwave safe bowl, wooden sticks, and a refrigerator. After microwaving the caramel and sticking to the wooden stick where the stem would normally go you dip the apple in the caramel. After evenly dipping the apple you refrigerate on a pan until the caramel hardens. Carmel candy apples take 5 minutes to make and 20-30 minutes to harden.

2. Funnel Cake
Funnel cakes are also great at fairs and fairly easy to make at home. All you need to make funnel cakes are eggs, sugar, milk, baking soda, flour, salt, and cooking oil. Food.com has great recipes for funnel cakes especially “Momma’s Fair Funnel Cake”.
