HC: Hey Sylvia! Tell us a little about what you’ve been up to your freshman year at VSU!
Sylvia: As of now, I have not officially joined anything! I just decided to use my freshman year as a year to adjust and do my own thing such as: work on my photography and focus on building a good foundation grade-wise. I plan on getting more involved with media stuff on campus next year.
HC: That’s a smart idea. So, why did you decide to come to VSU in the first place?
Sylvia: My high school video broadcast teacher mentioned it, and I have always heard great things about the Mass Media department. Plus, the campus is beautiful and I prefer hot weather over cold!
HC: What do you plan on doing with your major?
Sylvia: My goal is sports broadcasting, but it’s wherever life takes me! I feel like anything can happen and change happens often so maybe I’ll end up doing something completely opposite of what I want now. Either way, I just hope I’m happy where I end up.
HC: What are some things you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Sylvia: I like photography and playing around with my camera. I also enjoy painting just for fun because it’s relaxing. I also enjoy catching up on TV shows in my spare time.
HC: So, we know you’re in a relationship, but if a guy hit on you, what is your favorite pick up line?
Sylvia: “Kiss me if I’m wrong, but dinosaurs still exist, right?”
HC: When it comes to the “perfect” date, what would you want to do?
Sylvia: I like laid-back dates such as going to a baseball game or staying in and watching a movie and pigging out on food!
HC: What would we find you doing on an average Saturday night?
Sylvia: Saturday nights either includes going out with the girls or a girls night in watching a movie all together! We often have spa nights where we steam our faces and do baking soda masks.
