HC: What made you choose to attend VSU?
Estefania: Well, my father is a Rotarian back home, and he was the one who insisted I should apply for the Georgia Rotary Scholarship Program. So, I sent [in] my grades and my application. Three months later, I was notified I received the scholarship at VSU.
HC: What are your plans for after graduation?
Estefania: I would like to apply the knowledge and skills that I gain from VSU in either Miami or Los Angeles.
HC: How would you describe yourself?
Estefania: I would describe myself to be a pretty fun and outgoing girl. I consider myself to be mature, but not 100% independent. It is not easy to get on my nerves, but when you do it–stay away! [Laughs]
HC: What do you enjoy doing during your free time?
Estefania: I come from a big city, so I love going shopping and hanging out with my friends. I love going out for coffee and spending hours talking there. And, I also like going out for dinner at nice places.
HC: What do you look for in a potential boyfriend?
Estefania: Well this may sound weird, but the most important thing I look for in a guy is his self-confidence. I love when they know they are sexy and smart. Also, Latinas mainly focus on how they dress and behave.
He should have class, manners, and of course he has to be faithful. He should open and hold the door for me, pay when he invites me on a date, and just be a complete gentleman! It is the man that does the chasing. It is not common for a woman to approach a man and ask him out!
HC: What do you consider most important when in a relationship?
Estefania: Communication and respect. I know women and men are equal in rights, but it has been misunderstood and men have been losing chivalry.
HC: What’s your idea of a perfect date?
Estefania: My perfect date would start with being picked up in a nice car. Then, we would go to a very fancy restaurant with an incredible outside view. We’d have red wine along with great conversation, have delicious dessert after, and talk and drink for hours…
HC: Who is your celebrity crush?
Estefania: Oh, this is a hard one. Mm, well, I would say Mario Casas. He’s a Spanish actor. He has great acting skills and OMG his body is just perfect, almost [as if] it was photoshopped!
HC: If you had to choose one thing to eat forever what would it be?
Estefania: Sushi!! I love Japanese food.
HC: If you were stranded on an island what are 3 things you would take with you?
Estefania: Of course my mirror, my lipstick and my hair straightener.
HC: What is a quote that you live by?
Estefania: I live by one quote, which is: “Everything happens for a reason,” and by one Bible verse, which is: “I can do everything through Him who strengthens me.” – Ephesians 4:13.
