HC: What made you decide to attend VSU?

Elena: That’s a very good question. I just [so] happened to schedule a visit the month before school started freshman year and I fell in love with VSU’s beautiful campus. The palm trees made me feel like I was in Florida, where I had originally planned on going to college. Since it was closer to my family, I decided to come here.

HC: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Elena: In 10 years? Hmmm, let’s see… I’ll be thirty, so hopefully I will be settled with a fulfilling career and a family.

HC: What do you like do in your spare time?

Elena: What is spare time? [Laughs.] If I’m not in class, I’m at work but when I do have time, I like to watch YouTube videos on hair and makeup. Most of my down time is spent cuddling with my little Chihuahua, Nala. Oh, and making Snapchat videos [laughs].

HC: What are three words you would use to describe yourself?

Elena: Easy-going, silly, humbled

HC: What are some turn-offs?

Elena: A big turn off for me is when guys are immature, insecure, and especially guys that are overly flirtatious.

HC: Celebrity Crush?

Elena: So hard to narrow it down! I love Michael Ealy, Will Smith, Idris Elba, and Dwayne Johnson.
