Campus Cutie: Bree Lawver ’16

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Valdosta chapter.
Meet Bree Lawver! She’s an energetic, outgoing resident assistant in Hopper Hall who loves the outdoors, traveling, music and Taco Bell. Although Bree is tiny, her cute style, colorful tattoos and bright personality can easily be spotted. Find out a little more about Bree here!

Full Name: BreeAnna Emiko Lawver
Hometown: Savannah, Georgia
Classification: Junior
Zodiac Sign: Virgo
Relationship Status: Single
Major: Early Childhood Education

HC: What made you decide to attend VSU?

Bree: Honestly, it was the only school I applied to, so if I didn’t get in, I would’ve been screwed. It was also a great location, not too far from home, but not too close, and it was relatively close to Florida, which sold me.

HC: In what ways are you involved on campus?

Bree: Currently, I am a first year RA in Hopper Hall which is a great way to interact with students and create relationships with residents.

HC: How do you think your friends would describe your personality?

Bree: I wasn’t exactly sure what their responses would be so I asked them and got an assortment of answers: selfless, bubbly, thoughtful, spunky, fun, spontaneous and goofy. So that’s me in a nutshell.

HC: How would you describe your style?

Bree: A little bit of everything. One day I’ll look edgy and the next I’ll look preppy. I try to combine the two to create my own style. I get “hipster” a lot though.

HC: What animal do you think best describes you and why?

Bree: I would have to say a cat because sometimes all I want to do is be lazy and nap, and other times I have lots of energy and I run around.

HC: What got you into tattoos? What inspires them?

Bree: I’ve always wanted a tattoo and as soon as I turned 18, I got one. I told myself that I would only get one tattoo and I currently have 10 and I’m working on a half sleeve. They’re very addictive. I get some tattoos that have personal meanings that relate back to family, beliefs and personal thoughts, but others I get simply because I enjoy the way they look. My future half sleeve will be a tribute to my family and culture.

HC: What career would you like to have?

Bree: I would love to be an elementary school teacher; I’m looking at 1st or 2nd graders.

HC: What do you look for in a guy?

Bree: Somebody who’s kind, understanding, adventurous and can make me laugh.
