Meet the energetic and enthusiastic Ana! She just made a big splash into on campus involvement by joining Zeta Tau Alpha and is ready to meet more people. Get to know more about Ana below!

Name: Ana Machado

Major: Communication Disorders

Hometown: I was born in Brazil, but grew up in Roswell, GA.

VSU Classification: Sophomore (#VState18)

On Campus Involvement: Zeta Tau Alpha

Zodiac Sign: Aries

Relationship Status: Dating the perfect boy for a little over a year now!

Favorite Power Couple: Beyoncé (because she's Queen) & Jay Z

Favorite Pick Up Line: "Do you have a name or can I call you mine?"

HC: Hi Ana! How did you decide to come to VSU?

Ana: Before I applied, I came on a tour and fell in love with the campus, so I knew right from there that this was where I wanted to spend the next four years.

HC: What do you plan to do after graduation?

Ana: I plan on becoming a speech pathologist and having a private practice or maybe even working in a school.

HC: Outside of school, what are some of your favorite things to do?

Ana: I love being outside on a pretty day and I absolutely love being at the beach!

HC: Is there anything else you're passionate about?

Ana: I'm passionate about my family.  I grew up in a very family-oriented husehold and I love it! My family is my world.

HC: Well since you are one of our campus cuties for the week, who is your celebrity crush?

Ana: As hard as I've tried to change it, it's still Justin Beiber. (laughs)

HC: What do you mean? No just kidding! No shame in loving the Biebs. Aside from him though, what type of guys do you lean towards in dating? Any particular characteristics?

Ana: I like tall, athletic boys with a nice smile. [I look for traits like] sense of humor, loyalty, and intelligence.

HC: What is your favorite question to ask someone on a date in order to get to know him?

Ana: [I ask] "what are your goals in life?"

HC: Is there a perfect date that you can tell us about?

Ana: [It] doesn't necessarily have to "romantic," just something new and fun!

HC: What is the best piece of relationship advice you would give someone?

Ana: Follow your heart and remember that time heals all wounds.

HC: Given that time will come and go, where do you see yourself ten years from now?

Ana: Hopefully married, with kids, and with a steady job.

HC: Before we leave this interview, my last random question would be...do you have any secret talents?

Ana: I have a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo!
