HC: Why made you choose VSU?
David: VSU was actually one of my last choices, but I had to choose out of three schools. Georgia Southern, Jacksonville State, or VSU. Or I could have played football at a junior college. I chose VSU because I felt like it was not too big or too small, and the campus is beautiful!
HC: What organizations are you a part of at VSU?
David: I am a part of the Media Arts Geniuses and Student Government Association.
HC: What is your dream career?
David: My dream career would be to start my very own movie production company. I want to be an actor, producer, and director. On top of that I dream to become a professional entertainer that can host multiple events around the country.
HC: How do you want to be remembered at VSU?
David: I want to be remembered as a man who never gave up on his dream. I want people to know that I am a man of God, I will always strive to be the best I can be whether it’s acting, hosting, or being a role model. I want people at VSU to remember me as the best host, a leader amongst others and someone who followed their dreams and made it happen for himself in the real world.
HC: What advice would you give someone who aspires to be like you?
David: Be better than me.
HC: What legacy do you want to leave behind?
David: I will leave behind a legacy of leadership, service, and overall a hardworking entertainer
HC: What inspired you to run for SGA President?
David: I ran for SGA President because I sat in the Senate for two years. My experience in SGA has been a growing one, while I learned how to speak up with a voice that can inspire students to love their school. As for President I feel the need for a new type of leadership. I am aware that my leadership may be different than past leaders, but my goal as President is to get the job done. I love my school and I see VSU as the glass half full not half empty. VSU is a great school, but I am here to elevate the potential of VSU’s future. I will bring innovation that will increase pride, tradition, and unity, so that we can operate to increase retention and most importantly graduate college.
HC: If you had to choose an animal to describe yourself, what would it be?
David: I would be a lion, because I am the king of the jungle. I go after what I want and I know how to put on a show.
HC: Who is your celebrity crush?
David: My celebrity crush is Keri Hilson. Lord Have Mercy
