Sometimes in our lives, we will reach our potential.  We must look inside ourselves to find our very own power to reach our potential. Sometimes not everyone is successful in finding their full potential. To grow and make actual progress in our life, we cannot depend on others. We must walk our journey to find our power. Some people have no problem doing such than some who struggle. This issue can be caused by many things, depending on the individual. Sometimes, you just never learned how to encourage yourself. Here are some ways you can empower yourself to find your power.

Wake up every morning and encourage yourself.

The beginning of your day is the perfect time to start with words of encouragement. Instead of checking your phone first thing in the morning, look in the mirror and tell yourself how good-looking you look or how great your skin looks after getting well-rested. Tell yourself you are going to have a great day. Nothing or no one is going to stop you from having a great day. Smile, believe it! Avoiding looking at your phone first thing in the morning can help with discouraging you because sometimes we compare ourselves to others online. Then the whole day, our mind is filled with thoughts that make you question yourself. Since your morning is full of doubts, you are most likely to continue to doubt yourself throughout the whole day. When you doubt yourself, it can cause you to fail in meeting your goals.

Give yourself attention.

Sometimes we yearn for the attention of others. Yerning for attention from others is okay, but you must give yourself attention as well. When giving yourself attention, encourage yourself to look nice for you. Get dressed, throw on some nice shoes, and walk with your head held high. Do not wait for others to compliment you. You know you, better than anybody who knows you, in this world. That means you know how to compliment yourself perfectly. There are so many ways to give yourself attention. Encourage yourself to be kind to yourself by getting rid of the negative thoughts you make to yourself. Instead of negative thoughts, encourage yourself to only say positive things about yourself for the day. Write those positive words down on note cards, hang on the wall, or keep them in a small notebook for when you need to remind yourself of everything positive about you. Encourage yourself to read the cards anytime you feel discouraged.

Believe that you can, no matter what.

Never give up on yourself, no matter what! Do not believe the lies you tell yourself or what others may say. You did not make it this far, to fail when you are already halfway there. Never expect anyone to get you where you need to be in life. Remember, you can get you to the destination. Stop looking for support from people who are not supportive and be your support system. Once you discover how much power you have inside, nothing can stop you. Success can be such a rewarding feeling when you got yourself there. Yes, it is okay to ask for help but do not get discouraged when you feel you have no support system other than yourself. Sometimes, when you depend on others to lift you, you fail. You have to encourage yourself to get you to the highest position in your life. Always tell yourself that you are worthy of a life full of abundance.

Simple encouragement routines can improve your life in so many ways. All you must do is make it a daily habit. Encouraging yourself at times can be difficult, but you fought the testing part of the battle already, just by standing up and seeking change in your life. When you encourage yourself, you will notice you feel less concerned about others’ encouragement. You will not depend on others. You will feel whole, regardless of others around you are doing or saying. Just stay focus. You got this!
