2014 Isn’t Over Yet!: 5 Movies to Look Forward To

Are you a movie fanatic? Well 2014 isn’t over yet, and there are some films that are expected to release this year that you don’t want to miss out on!

1. Jimi: All Is By My Side

A lot of us know who Jimi Hendrix is, but what’s his story? Jimi: All Is By My Side takes you through a year in the life of Jimi Hendrix, played by the multi-talented André (André 3000) Benjamin. In the year the movie covers, you will see the trials and tribulations Hendrix went through that helped him become the rock legend that he is today!

This movie is expected to release September 19, 2014. Rated R.

2. Annabelle

If you’re looking for a horror film to get your adrenaline rushing, then this is just the flick for you. Annabelle is a spin-off to The Conjuring, which came out in July 2013. The Conjuring is based off a true story and originally showed a couple, Ed and Lorraine Warren, a pair of paranormal investigators whose purpose was to help a family get rid of a dark entity from their new home. With Annabelle being the prequel to The Conjuring, it shows how Annabelle, the doll in the movie, acquired her demonic powers.

This movie is expected to release October 3, 2014. Rated R.

3. The Interview

If you’re looking to lighten the mood and get a few laughs in, The Interview should do it for you! With Seth Rogan and James Franco being the stars of the movie, this film should be no less than hilarious. Dave Skylark (Franco) and Aaron Rapoport (Rogan) are the hosts of a popular TV show and they find out that they will be interviewing one of their fans of the show, a Korean dictator named Kim Jong-un, but the plot twist of the movie is when the two are recruited into the CIA to assassinate their interviewee.

This movie is expected to release October 10, 2014. Rated R.

4. Love, Rosie

This romantic comedy will be perfect for a date night or girl’s night out! Love, Rosie tells the story of Rosie (Lily Collins) and Alex (Sam Claflin) who grew up as best friends, but as time went on and their feelings for each other began to change, they went through some ups and downs that eventually led them to realize how much they really meant to each other.

This movie is expected to release October 24, 2014. Rated R.

5. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1

With The Hunger Games series being such a phenomenon due to the awesome books and entertaining movies, this upcoming film, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 will just add to the plot and give another piece of the suspenseful trilogy that we’ve all been waiting for. Although there are only three books in The Hunger Games, the last book, Mockingjay, will be divided into two different movies. Katniss, played by Jennifer Lawrence, already detested many of the normality’s in District 12, and in this movie, she continues to use her bravery to break down those barriers.

This movie is expected to release November 21, 2014. Rated PG-13.
