If you’re a 90’s kid more than likely miss that 90’s/early 2000s music. In today’s music you’ll hear techno electronic sound and songs containing whack meaningless lyrics that have a dance to it. There are still some artists today who make songs that have a 90’s/early 2000s feel to it! Most likely you’ve never heard of these songs because they never became singles or they don’t have today’s feels to it. Well, here are 10 songs that sound like throwback songs that you probably never heard of!

1.  “Seal Me With a Kiss” featuring De La Soul – Jessie J

This song samples “(Not Just) Knee Deep” by Funkadelic that came out in 1979. If you’re a 90’s kid most likely you’ve heard your parents jamming out to that song.

2. “Everything’s Embarrassing” – Sky Ferreira

This heartbreak love song gives an 80’s throwback to it.

3. “Too Close” – Ariana Grande

Okay so most of you guys know Ariana Grande and probably downloaded her songs from both of her albums on iTunes. But on her second album, My Everything, she had released an exclusive album at Target that included two bonus tracks including the song, “Too Close.” Just the sound of it really takes you back to the 90’s era.

4.  “Mr. Loverboy” – Little Mix

Listening to this song takes you back to a summer romance over and over!

5.  “That’s OK” featuring Diddy & Fabulous – Dream

Ok! So this song was recorded in 2003 and wasn’t released until 2008. In that year we were blessed with this song that was featured on their second album, Reality. This song will take you back when anyone that was signed to Bad Boy Records was topping the charts.

6.  “Lift Off” featuring Pharrell – Conor Maynard

It’s hard to believe this song was released in 2013 especially since it has such an early 2000s feel to it, but that’s probably because Pharrell was featured in the song.

7.  “2 Bad” – Dom Kennedy

If you loved LL Cool J’s song “Love You Better” than you’ll love “2 Bad”.  This song is just way “2” good for your ears!

8.  “Reflection” – Fifth Harmony

You can listen to lyrics and think confident or cocky but what we can all agree on is the sensual sound that comes with the lyrics. The perfect song to listen to while you’re getting ready in the mirror.

9. “Four Pink Walls” – Alessia Cara

Remember when you use to buy cd’s and you would find that one song that was favorite on the album but it never became a single? “Four Pink Walls” sounds like one of those songs. It’s still fairly new so it could become Cara’s next single but wouldn’t it be nice to say that you knew that song way before anyone else did?

10.  “Gone” featuring Syd – Snakehips

So, when this song first comes on it doesn’t really quite take you back to the early 2000s until the chorus comes and then you’re suddenly gone. Syd’s vocals backed up with this amazing beat gives it that feel.
