Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and we all have mixed emotions about it. The over used I love you’s, pink and red everywhere, and lovely dovey couples on every corner, it can all be too much sometimes whether you are with someone or not. If you are a big fan of this holiday or not here are some of the emotions we all eel as single individuals on this day.

Waking up on February 14th

When you’re trying to go about your normal day and spot couples everywhere

And then they get all PDA in public

When people start talking about what their significant others got them or what they have planned for the evening

Then you sit alone, dateless, eating your friends leftover chocolate and watching Nicholas Spark’s movies hoping to find some cure for your loneliness

Oh, and you down that bottle of wine while you’re at it too

But after all the horrendous love stories you had to listen to all day, the endless amount of chocolate you snuck, and the void you tried to fill, you know you’re an independent woman who doesn’t need someone for some outrageous holiday

Well, you get the idea. Single, taken, independent, kinda seeing someone, trying to figure yourself out, or hanging out with your pizza, whatever it may be I hope your day is filled with lots of junk food, wine, and lousy romance movies to help you survive this random holiday. Either way, don’t forget to love your friends and family just as much even if you are alone or dying of a broken heart. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

Just a 5'4" independent and free spirited woman, easily inspired and always smiling. While I'm not on here spilling all my thoughts and writing my heart out, I thoroughly enjoy drawing, blogging, adventuring and of course dancing around in my underwear and eating mac and cheese. It's the simple things in life that truly make me who I am. I currently reside in Milwaukee, Wisco and inspire to be a pediatric nurse.
