Meet Jenna! She is a junior at UWM this year majoring in Journalism and Media Studies (JAMS) and is minoring in German. She is originally from Appleton, WI but currently lives in Milwaukee, WI.
Jenna has loved every minute of being in HerCampus since joining this past fall. Her favorite thing would be writing fun features about our city of Milwaukee. Articles such as “Breakfast on Milwaukee’s East Side” and “One More, Then We Go – a Night at Lakefront Brewery” our a few popular articles written by our very own Jenna B! If she had to choose a favorite spot in Milwaukee, it would have to be a tie between the Original Pancake House on Downer Avenue or biking the Oak Leaf Trail along Lake Michigan. Jenna calls Downer’s Original Pancake House a “cozy little East Side favorite served with delightful coffee and famous bacon pancakes.”
Jenna has high hopes for her future. Her dream job would be to be a paranormal travel writer which would include going on paranormal adventures in abandoned or haunted locations. Jenna is a huge Halloween fan! Her very first articles for HerCampus UWM were Halloween themed. She tied her love for Halloween and her love for writing features on Milwaukee and created her first published article, “Haunted Milwaukee.” She would love to do research on the locations and write about her investigations. She hopes to travel to New Orleans someday. For now, you can find her doing paranormal research at Shakers Cigar Bar and The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, both known for spooky ghosts roaming the halls and rooms.
This summer, Jenna will be venturing out her beloved city of Milwaukee and traveling to Germany for two weeks! Her minor in German will come in handy as she roams the streets drinking tasty beer, eating Bavarian pretzels and speaking German. Have fun and safe travels, Jenna!
