5 Podcasts to motivate you this semster

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UWM chapter.

If you’re anything like me, sometimes you need a kick in the butt to get motivated. It can be easier to come home, lie on your bed and turn on that one series on Netflix you ALWAYS watch. But this summer I found a new love. A love for podcasts! Yes, I never thought I’d be an avid podcast girl but here I am, plugging in everyday for about an hour at my desk getting my daily dose of inspiration. Here are my favorite podcasts that every college girl needs to be listening to.

  1. The Lively Show

The Lively Show is your go-to for any cosmic, spiritual, or coincidental explanations. Are you feeling out of alignment? Listen to Jess Lively and her super girl advice on how to live your best life and manifest all those amazing dreams. Can’t figure out why you always pick the wrong guys? Listen to this girl. Can’t figure out why you never get that job offer? Listen to this girl. She’s got answers.

  1. Stuff Mom Never Told You

This is one podcast that you NEED to listen to. Emilie Aries and Bridget Todd tackle topics that you may never have thought of. From female friendships to women’s anatomy and a whole lot of female politics, you will have enough to chat about with your girlfriends if you all listen to this podcast. (If we didn’t have enough to chat about)

  1. The Skinny Confidential: Him & Her Podcast

Okay I’m a little biased on this one. Lauryn Evarts is my FAVORITE blogger and she crushes the podcast game with her hubby, Michael Bosstick. Lauryn doesn’t shy away from any topic. You want to talk about phobias and anxiety? She covers it. She also talks about how to build your brand and business and what it takes to reach maximum blogger success. What’s even better is you can tell she’s genuine and encourages all women to succeed.

  1. Magic Lesson with Elizabeth Gilbert

If you’ve never read Eat, Pray, Love or even seen the movie, first go ahead and do that. Next you’re going to want to listen to Elizabeth Gilbert’s podcast because she wrote that book. In this podcast she gives inspiration for chasing your dreams and even has plenty of guest callers and helps them figure out how to plan their “Big Magic Moments.”

Whether you have an entrepreneurial spirit or not, this is a great podcast to listen to if you are a boss lady or want to be a boss lady. This podcast helps you figure out how to get paid for doing the things you love and inspires you to reach those career goals!
