Dua Lipa is very successful 22-year-old singer, raised in the UK. Dua Lipa moved to Albania, and a short while later returned to the UK and kicked off her musical carrier via various song covers, later signing a deal with Warner Bros, and producing her hit single, âBe the One.â This was the start of a wonderful career. Why do we love her?
Â
1. Â Â Â Â Our Fave Breakup Anthem: Dua Lipa released New Rules, our typical breakup anthem and a favorite to say goodbye to a problematic ex. Weâve all been in a position where weâve had a toxic ex or needed to leave a relationship. As much as it hurts, listening to this song can help a lot of us. Not only is it catchy, but it allows us to make new rules so that we donât make the same mistakes again â texting that ex, answering their calls, letting them in, etc. Donât pick up the phone, donât let him in, donât be his friend, and if youâre under him, you ainât getting over him. Make your new rules and kiss him goodbye.
Â
2. Â Â Â Â Dua doesnât give a f**k: Her song âIDGAFâ is the song to listen to and jam out to when youâve had a bad day, when he breaks your heart, or when youâre just tired of your life. Blast this song, put it on repeat, and sing your heart out. You deserve not to give a f**k, and be the BOMB, independent, and extremely attractive woman that you are. So donât let anything get you down. If it does, just pop on this song, and pretty soon you will feel better.
Â
3. Â Â Â Â Views: She is the youngest female artist to have a music video that reached over a billion views. Dua literally did THAT. By that I mean slaying, establishing a career, and getting over a man who broke her heart. She also slayed with her collaboration with Calvin Harris (âOne Kissâ) which topped charts in not only one, but multiple countries. Did I mention that she has collaborated with Diplo? Sheâs my goals, your goals, and all our goals. She is who we all strive to be, because letâs be real, who doesnât love a strong and independent woman?
Â
4. Â Â Â Â A STRONG woman: Dua isnât just singing songs about being a strong, independent woman, sheâs actually conjuring the BEST gang that slays. For her IDGAF performance (BBC Radio 1) she had Charli XCX, Zara Larsson, Alma, and MĂ joining her for a slaying performance. Dua came to slay and clearly did not give a f*ck that the audience would be enraptured and captivated by the strong women she invited to join her. For her performance, check out:

Â
5. Â Â Â Â On fleek: Not only is her highlight popping, but her outfits are on point. Her two-piece combinations, heels, and dresses make me want to personally message Dua, ask for outfit advice, and discard my sweatpants for a more glamorous look. Besides the outfits, Dua has the cutest dance moves â theyâre cute because she canât dance, but still tries her best to make it a lit concert so that all her fans can join in. Itâs all about the good vibes that she spreads around, which makes everything she does on fleek (not just her eyebrows).
