It’s that time of year again where Sephora has their major sale. As a Rouge member, even when I convince myself I don’t need anything, I always end up buying something and justifying it knowing it is 20% off. Whether it’s new products or restocking my day to day essentials, I always end up adding one too many things to my cart. I also like to shop for friends and family , and it’s a great way to treat myself during finals. Here are 6 things I will be buying from the Sephora sale this year:
- Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Powder- Tinted Primer & Foundation
I had been seeing this product everywhere, and now that I’ve tried it, I understand the hype. It blurs the skin, provides a smooth base, and can be used as a primer and foundation. I also feel like this is perfect for those effortless, no-makeup makeup days when you want your skin to look put together without having to do a full face of makeup.
- Summer Fridays SoftLine Lip Creamy Sculpting Lip Pencil
As someone who has tried almost all the lip pencils and liners on the market, this product is a recent favourite that I will be repurchasing! One of my biggest pet peeves is a lip liner that only stays on for a short period of time, but I never have an issue with this product. It is super creamy and easy to blend, and it defines the lips without looking too harsh. It’s perfect to wear on its own or with a gloss, and I personally like to pair it with the Summer Fridays lip butter balm.
- Rhode Peptide Lip Boost Plumping Lip Mask
At first, I wasn’t sold on Rhode being worth the investment, but after trying many of their products, I found myself wanting to repurchase after using both their skincare and makeup products. The formulas are simple but effective, and anytime I want to achieve the “clean girl” makeup look, I reach for their products . I especially loved the lip mask because it keeps everything hydrated without feeling heavy, and I can wear it overnight or during the day. I saw a noticeable difference when I started using the lip mask, which is why I carry one in my purse, my work bag, and my school bag.
- Huda Beauty Easy Bake Blurring Loose Baking & Setting Powder
This is the one product that can’t be replaced, and it’s something I use every single time I do my makeup. It sets everything in place, controls shine, and gives that smooth, blurred finish, especially under the eyes. As someone who goes to the gym a lot and is very active during the day, I found that it makes a difference in how my makeup looks and lasts throughout the day. It also lasts me a long time , which is why I always go back to it.
- Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Medium Coverage Foundation with Fermented Arnica
In the spring and summer, I tend to reach for a foundation that is good for oily skin and lasts in the heat without feeling heavy on the skin. The one by Haus Labs does exactly that. It evens everything out without feeling heavy, and the finish is natural rather than overly matte or glowy. I like to pair it with the Haus Labs concealer anytime I want some extra coverage. This is another product that lasts me a while, and it is definitely worth splurging on for the Sephora sale.
- Dior Rosy Glow Powder Blush
The Dior Rosy Glow Power Blush has been my go-to powder blush for the last few years. It’s a powder blush that reacts to your skin’s pH to give a natural, customized flush for an effortless finish. I like that it adds just enough color without looking too heavy, and it’s buildable and pairs well with cream blushes. Despite already having rosy cheeks, It’s a product that enhances my natural colour without overpowering it, which is why I reach for it time and time again.
The Sephora sale runs until April 20th, so if you needed a sign to treat yourself this finals season, this is it!
